Non-profit organizations play a pivotal role in our area. Because of this, Ely Area Community Foundation (EACF) is committed to supporting local non-profits through grant opportunities.
These grants can help bolster organizations’ operational capacity, enable them to expand their outreach and impact, help them foster further innovation, enhance their program quality, facilitate deeper collaboration and much more.
Individuals, businesses, estates and other entities can donate or fundraise to support the establishment of an EACF grant.
Grants are open to non-profit organizations serving the cities of Ely, Tower, Winton, and Babbitt and the townships of Morse, Eagles Nest, Embarrass, Breitung, Fall Lake, and surrounding communities.
2026 GRANT FUNDING
$20,000 Donated to Support Local Wildfire Recovery
The Ely Area Community Foundation donated $20,000 to support local wildfire recovery efforts, helping the Ely area recover from the impacts of the recent wildfires and the resulting evacuations, closures and economic disruptions.
The contribution, made in partnership with United Way of Northeastern Minnesota, will help ensure resources reach those experiencing financial hardship and other unmet needs.
EACF's 2026 grant funding reflects the important role a community foundation can play in responding to immediate needs while continuing to invest in our area's future.
